This past month in Brossard, Québec we were able to transform this neglected backyard in pave uni back to its original beauty & function. Linda the homeowner wanted to enjoy this Summer in her backyard and needed help!
Covered in moss, mildew, dirt, weeds, and grass, this pave uni hid some much needed repair to settled & loose paving stones and spreading polymeric sand in the joints. Linda hired a pave uni contractor 10 years ago to make the backyard an addition to the house on the summer season, for BBQ’s, suppers and some tanning time. But the contractors used regular sand to save cost and never gave the choice for a polymeric sand option. Of course its more money for them!
After 10 years this lead to moss, weeds, grass, and other organic matter taking over the paver joints. Other areas began to settle due to base erosion under the paving stones from the lack of joint sand in the joints. As you can see in the before pics, this backyard gave pave uni a bad reputation.
After performing our routine repairs, cleaning of the pave uni & paver joints, re-sanding the joints with the proper polymer joint sand and applying our super shine sealer, we were able to bring this backyard “back to life” and beauty.
